Gigafactory Texas on 1 November 2021! This is where the Cyber Truck and Model Y will be built!

Extremely rapid work on the south pond area reconfiguration this morning! In the past 48 hours, so much work has been accomplished, it is almost unbelievable. Fortunately, in this video, we take a detailed look at the construction and reshaping efforts in the south end around the ponds and south bridge area using the newly released Giga Texas official site plan documents.
This is part of an elaborate storm water management system that collects and distributes rainwater runoff from the roof and the area around the main factory site. Very large underground corrugated pipes are installed in a system that rings the main factory and collects at a water splitter box and then continues to a pond system and to the Colorado river.
The intent is to help viewers understand the construction that is going on, why they are doing this and what to look for in future videos of Giga Texas.

Here are the highlights from today's video:
- In the south area, we see drilling operations, retaining wall footing & rebar already being installed! Geotextile membrane linings and the water splitter box is getting concrete. Please make sure you watch the introduction discussion as you will learn a great deal about what is being constructed and what it will look like when completed
- The window line on E side has been completed and extends the entire length of the building uninterrupted. It may even wrap around the stamping angled corner, but that hasn't happened ... yet! The concrete work on the east side continues to make progress, and according to the site plan most of this area will be parking, with another road constructed just east of the powerlines. There are more docking area ramps being made as well.
- In the central area, work on the steel structure continues, and they are preparing more steel truss parts for the roof area. Footing work seems to be complete now, so another milestone completed! It appears the roof insulation and weatherproof membranes are starting to get staged near the roof area that has all the decking installed, so we may see this work commence this week.
- In the casting area, we see active work applying the roof insulation and weatherproof membranes on large areas of the concrete roof, so it looks like this area might be completed this week too. I do try to peek inside the structure through the window line area, and we see some activity inside as well. It appears some castings are being loaded into trucks as well through one of the loading doors on the east side.
- On the west side of the General Assembly structure, we see more detail window work on the seams, and it appears preparations are underway to finish the last remaining area needing the large glass panes. We also see more work on the ground near the base of the walls both on the north and south sides, finishing up the loading and parking areas.
- On the north end, a lot of work being done in the new parking area, with a large area paved with asphalt and other areas extensively trenched for electrical conduit, most likely for lighting. The main intersection area under the bridge has had concrete poured in the islands.
- The east side pond work continues, with two areas of raised concrete installed now in the floor area and what appears to be work on the outfall channel, heading southwest and then snaking around the clearing area just south of the mobile pipe mill.
