Gigafactory Texas on 27 December 2021! This is where the Cyber Truck and Model Y will be built!

Crews return after Christmas break and the site is beginning to come alive again! Wall panels on the south end going up quickly, while a special delivery arrives at the north end of the paint shop and we get some good images and video of the unloading!

Here are some highlights from this morning:
- At the south end, the last major section without wall panels on the stamping extension structure is having them installed this morning. Only the area where the temporary loading platform is located remains without wall panels now.
- On the east side of the stamping structure, we see less of the crates with the AIDA stamping press parts, and later in the video, we see where all the empty crates are being prepared for disposal. At the rate of assembly, I would expect to see all the crates gone (meaning the press is nearly fully assembled) in about two weeks or so.
- On the west side of the General Assembly, we look closely at the new main entrance area and further north, we see continued work to complete the loading area and driveways with rebar and concrete. Some of this is on the west side of the battery cell structure as well, and this is the last remaining section on this side of the structure to be completed.
- On the north end, we also see more work to install rebar and prepare for concrete pours of loading areas and driveways, including on the west of the temporary loading platform. There are two excavators at work right in front of the drive-in loading "roadway" inside the structure, so perhaps we will see this area getting underground pipes installed ahead of rebar and concrete.
- Also, on the north end of the battery cell structure, we see a lot more HVAC components and rectangular ducting being lifted to the fourth floor and the roof. There may be parts needed to complete the exhaust ventilation system on the roof, where we see renewed activity as well.
- As noted in the intro, we get some close looks at a Model Y test body and aligning rig being delivered, lifted off the truck and moved inside the paint shop. This is a full body with doors, hatch and hood and appears to already be e-coated. This was a delivery from off-site, so unclear what the purpose is at this time, but it may be for further calibration and testing of paint shop equipment.
- The casting machine structure roof work has resumed, with crews preparing the sloped interface to the paint shop roof, while also installing a new ventilation shaft. It appears they are two sections away from completing this new roof addition and completing this entire roof area.
- The east parking lot continues to be cleared out of trailers, equipment, and materials. As speculated last week, I believe they are preparing this area to all for more construction, possibly a large, paved area for both parking and also for new vehicle staging for pickup.
- We end up with a low flyby and close examination of the far east material storage areas, the newly relocated contractor trailers, and see the same on the new north end area next to the electrical substation.
