Gigafactory Texas on 6 February 2021! This is where the Cyber Truck and Model Y will be built!

What a busy and momentous Day at Giga Texas this morning! An incredible number of major milestones happening all at once this morning! It was a bit overcast and drizzly at the site, but I think the photos and video came out well, so lots to see with clarity!
In this video, we discuss the updated basic layout of Giga Texas and walk through the known (and assumed) production facilities and talk about what is done in each of these areas. The goal is to try and help viewers see and understand what is being built now and how it will all come together at some point.

Here are some of the major highlights of today:
- The west steel structure and the paint shop structure are now joined together in the central area. Although the two structures now meet, they appear to retain their own unique floors and arrangements, meaning they act on the 2nd and subsequent floors as different buildings.
- The Northwest GeoPier area seems to have most of the work drilling and installing the piers in the ground (at least for now?) which means in several areas, footings may begin soon
- There is a new steel structure starting south of the west structure ... eventually this will all be connected in a contiguous structure, but for now, it seems they will start this and begin working south, leaving a several section gap, possibly to allow temporary access for concrete pump trucks and cranes
- More prefabricated concrete panels (roof sections and wall panels) have been delivered and you can see that they are being used nearly as quickly as they arrive!
- The stamping machine structure has about 75% of the west wall panels now installed and a temporary scaffolding stairway is being erected to allow easier access to the roof for workers. More slab rebar work and actual concrete pours are going on at the ground level, which will bring this level to about 90% completed. The rood is also getting another large section covered with concrete this morning.
- The east structure is now only 5 sections from joining the concrete structure at the south and is being joined to the paint shop structure this morning. More concrete has been poured on the second floor as well.
- The casting machine area in the northeast of the foundation now has all of the columns installed (for this section, but I expect more farther north in the near future after footings are installed). Also, roof beams over the casting machine (which is well covered with tarps now) are installed and more were arriving by truck this morning. Soo, roof panels will cover the majority of this area, making it much more difficult to observe future casting machine installation.
- The area east of the powerlines where the contractor trailers are seems to have the final grading work just about completed, so construction of something should happen soon. Also, more steel parts are being stored in the staging area on the south end of the contractor trailer area.
- More trailers have arrived where we know robotic assembly machines are being stored ... perhaps more robots are arriving, but kept out of view?
- Further south, more piping and other equipment for plumbing has arrived and is being stored in this area just east of the stamping machine structure
- Much farther east, the area that has been getting cleared and levelled now has a new contractor trailer and more trucks were delivering parts and other materials ... it is uncertain what will be constructed in this area at this time.
- Finally, the grading and levelling work just south of the old plant building also seems to be just about completed, so a structure should soon begin construction in this area.
