Inside Views GA & Stamping 2! S Pier Drilling Crane arrives! 31 Mar 2023 Giga Texas Update (07:15AM)

Gigafactory Texas on 31 March 2023! This is where Model Y’s are built and soon Cyber Truck production will start!

I got here early before the strong winds came through the area and I was able to take advantage of the lighting to see inside the west side of General Assembly (2nd and 3rd floors, pls a view into the 1st floor on the south end) and, the west main entrance and the south stamping 2 areas! Amazing progress can be seen in all three today!
Today is also the last day of the first quarter, and I wish Tesla all the best of luck in achieving record numbers of both production and deliveries!

In the intro, we discuss the inside views of the General Assembly lines 2 and three, which span all three floors plus the added 4th floor mezzanine have come a long way, with a lot of the production equipment, platforms, racking systems and robotic assemblers being installed!

I also point out a new major development, and this is the arrival of new crane on the south end too, and this looks to be getting ready to be rigged as a pile drilling machine, like what we saw at the Die Shop and also what we saw in this area around October of 2022 when they did some test piles. This time, I think we will see the start of the permanent piles being drilled to prepare this area for the construction of the new structure, so a great milestone and an indication that construction is getting closer!

Some additional highlights you will see in the images and video include:
The west main entrance area continues to see some construction among the cyber berms with triangular excavated areas with small pipes in them on both sides. I also take advantage of the lighting to look inside to see the progress on the main staircase, more work on the 2nd floor mezzanine and work on the ground slab.

On the east side, the new wind tunnel testing rig assembly appears to be complete, and a rental Sunbelt company generator trailer has been moved nearby. information from Patreons and my viewers indicates this is likely a wind noise/leak and possibly water leak testing device where selected cars are placed on the turntable to allow for varying angles to the wind flow to test and validate for quality control. Apparently, Ford Motor Company uses something like this device, and perhaps other companies do as well.

At the Die Shop, we see several more sections of the perimeter grade bean have been poured with concrete and a couple more are in form work ready for concrete soon. The deep foundation on the northwest corner is busy with activity today, and crews seem to be installing more of the rebar and gray conduit piping in the formed area. More work here is needed before we see concrete poured. Wall panel installation on the east side continues too, and we see large, crates of equipment deliveries going in the center east large receiving door.

The battery cathode and Die shop complex electrical conduit installation continues between the two structures and on the south side of the Die shop and more trenching. Farther west, crews were installing more blue water pipes along Tesla Road and HDPE treated water pipe near the powerlines. Both of these will provide water and sewage service to the battery cathode and Die shop structures.

The southeast clearing/construction area shows even more progress with the grade work, including more gravel application and smoothing out the "berms" on three sides. I'm looking forward to seeing what is constructed here as they are getting close to allowing this to start!

Finally, we see work on the south end of the electrical switchyard, particularly in between the two large transformers. It appears crews are installing a brick dividing wall or perhaps a brick structure. Also, crews have installed several more electrical lines, now on two of the three northern-most "A-frame" structures.
