More Robots Arrive & Battery Pack Recycling. 9 January 2023 Giga Texas Construction Update (07:55AM)

Gigafactory Texas on 9 January 2023! This is where Model Y’s are built and soon Cyber Truck production will start!

9 January 2023 Giga Texas IMAGES! Busy Day & many more robots arrive on S end!

Gorgeous day to fly today, with activity on both sides of the highway of interest! In addition, it would seem Model Y production is again ramping up even more, certainly at least as busy as it was in December, the previous high watermark for Giga Texas.
There are lots of other great discoveries, deliveries, and other things of interest all over the site today!

In the video introduction, we concentrate on 4 areas around the site today.
The first of which is a tour of the entire west side just south of Tesla Road. This includes, on the north end, increased steel material storage, workshops & welding equipment, and delivery trucks and vehicle transports in queue waiting for their time slots to enter the main construction site. Further to the south, we look at the slowly shrinking south material storage area and the West WOW Yard expansion. Nearby, we see more earthwork removing dirt to both lower and improve the grade in another new area, while also using this dirt to complete the large triangular clearing area. At this area, we see gravel application on the top of the improved grade, while more Geotextile membranes and fill dirt on the south end. Soon, this area will be ready for the next stage of construction.
We also discuss the very noticeable increase in Model Y production in the form of many Model Y’s on the south end, getting supercharged and staged in the overflow lots, as well as more Model Y’s over at the smaller east parking lot. We also see some Model Y’s apparently supercharging at the new 32-station Superchargers. Finally, at the east new car staging and transportation lot, we see many trucks loading up Model Y’s and departing the site while unloaded transports were arriving at a steady pace.
At the battery cathode plant, we see tremendous progress with the new west structure, both with substantial steel assembly on the north end (including trussed double columns on the western half), active concrete footing pours in the middle section, and new footing excavation work on the south end. Steel materials continue arriving at this site, stored on the south, north and far north areas. We also see continued iron pipe installation onto the smaller steel structure connected to the cathode plant west side concrete apron area, while blue water pipe installation down the middle of the west side.
Finally, I show closeup images of wooden crate breakdown on the far east of the construction site, including some that appear to have battery packs being set aside, presumably for recycling as well. I could not tell for sure if these were 4680 structural packs or 2170 packs, but in either case, it is likely these were shipped to Giga Texas using these wooden crates from either Giga Nevada or Kato Road in California.
Here are a few other sights you'll see in the images and video.
On the west General Assembly side, we see crews and a crane apparently preparing to begin removing the temporary wall panels that will allow for further expansion of receiving doors. This is in the same area where new concrete has been poured and where crews are preparing the last section for rebar and concrete.
Electrical switchyard now has all four of the new steel power poles assembled and installed on the north end. This is a critical part of connecting electrical power to the new switchyard. At the south end, it appears concrete blocks have been delivered near the two concrete pads for the transformers, and in the middle, we see concrete being poured in the 3rd of eventually 4 east-west cable tray trenches
