Damaged Spacecraft Uncrewed Departure: Soyuz MS-22 Undocking
"Clear All Moorings," Is from the soundtrack to "Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country."
Edited NASA TV footage of the automated undocking of the Russian Space Agency (RSA) Soyuz MS-22 (Союз MC-22) spacecraft from the Rassvet (Рассве́т) module on the International Space Station on March 28, 2023.
The spacecraft suffered a coolant leak on December 14, 2022 after what was likely a micrometeoroid strike. It was deemed unsafe for the crew of three to return home in Soyuz MS-22, so Soyuz MS-23 was sent up without a crew aboard to replace it.
The time-lapse of the docking is at 10 times actual speed.
