SpaceX Dragon CRS-13 Launch, Grapple, & Berthing (time lapse)
Launch, first-stage landing, and spacecraft separation of the SpaceX Dragon CRS-13 automated cargo craft on December 15, 2017, followed by a time lapse of the NASA TV feed of the rendezvous, grapple, and berthing by the Space Station Remote Manipulator System (SSRMS) or "robotic arm" aboard the International Space Station (ISS) on December 17, 2017. Expedition 54 NASA astronauts Mark Vande Hei (@Astro_Sabot) and Joe Acaba (@AstroAcaba) operated the SSRMS to grapple the Dragon.
The time-lapse video is preceded by graphics depicting the locations of various spacecraft docked to the International Space Station.
The time-lapse portion of the video is at 20 times actual speed. "Enterprise Clears Moorings" by James Horner is from the motion picture "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan."
