Deploying the New Radiator: Prokopyev & Petelin - Russian EVA 58
"My Treasure" by Kenting is from the album "Full Moon."
Edited NASA TV footage of Russian EVA 58, conducted aboard the International Space Station (ISS) on May 12, 2023. ISS Expedition 69 cosmonauts Sergey Prokopyev (Серге́й Проко́пьев) and Dmitry Petelin (Дмитрий Петелин) performed the spacewalk.
The main objective of the spacewalk was to deploy the radiator which was installed on the Nauka laboratory module during Russian EVA 56 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kKSjEECO7eI). The cosmonauts then opened manual valves to transfer coolant to the radiator.
While coolant was transferring to the radiator, they attached a gap spanner between handholds on the European Robotic Arm (ERA).
Running ahead of the timeline, the cosmonauts were directed to attach two handrails connecting the bottom of the Nauka module to the top of the Prichal module. These handrails will aid the movement of future spacewalkers.
The pair returned to the ERA, where they installed a second gap spanner.
They then headed up the Nauka laboratory module to the coolant fluid servicer and radiator interface panel to ensure that the radiator had been filled with coolant.
This EVA concluded a series of twelve spacewalks to outfit the Nauka module:
