First All-International-Partner Spacewalk: U.S. EVA 77 - Hoshide & Pesquet

"Carpe Diem (Orchestral Instrumental)" by Fearless Motivation Instrumentals is from the album "Sounds of Power."

Edited NASA TV footage of U.S. EVA 77 aboard the International Space Station (ISS) (@Space_Station) on September 12, 2021. Expedition 65 JAXA astronaut Aki Hoshide (@Aki_Hoshide) and ESA astronaut Thomas Pesquet (@Thom_astro) performed the spacewalk.

On this EVA, the two astronauts completed the installation of the mod kit, or base, for the third of six new ISS Roll Out Solar Arrays (IROSA). These new arrays will augment the power generation capability of the Station.

The pair also replaced a failed Floating Potential Measurement Unit (FPMU), which measures electrical charges that build on the exterior of the ISS. These charges can pose issues for equipment, as well as being a potential hazard to spacewalking astronauts.

The time-lapse portions of the video are at 10 or 30 times normal speed.
