Briefing: Aborted Robotic Arm Outfitting: Russian EVA 54 - Artemyev & Matveev
Edited NASA TV footage of the animated briefing for Russian extravehicular activity (EVA) 54 aboard the International Space Station (ISS), performed on August 17, 2022. Expedition 67 cosmonauts Oleg Artemyev (Олег Артемьев) (@OlegMKS) and Denis Matveev (Денис Матвеев) (@denis_mks) performed the spacewalk out of the Poisk (По́иск) airlock module.
The two continued the outfitting of the European Robotic Arm (ERA), installing two Camera Light Units (CLUs). At that point in the EVA, Oleg Artemyev's Orlan EVA suit registered a low-voltage reading in its battery. Russian ground controllers ordered Artemyev to return to the Poisk airlock module, where he reconnected his suit to Space Station power. Matveev cleaned up the work site and returned to the airlock, bringing an early conclusion the EVA.
