Pirs Airlock Module Departs Space Station

Edited NASA TV video of the undocking of the Russian Space Agency (RSA) Progress MS-16, (Прогресс MS-16, Progress 77) spacecraft with the #Pirs (Пирс) module from the International Space Station (ISS) on July 26, 2021. Pirs and #ProgressMS16 will de-orbit, enter the Earth's atmosphere, and burn up over the Pacific Ocean.

The departure of the Pirs module frees up the nadir docking port on the Russian Zvezda (Звезда́) module for the arrival of the new Multipurpose Laboratory Module (MLM), named "Nauka" (Russian for "science"). #Nauka (Нау́ка) is scheduled to dock to the ISS on July 29, 2021.

The time-lapse portion of the video is at 10 times actual speed.
