Posture Therapist Teaches Safe Abs Workout - Back & Neck Friendly / No Equipment
Training your abdominal muscles is often recommended as part of a posture correction program. But many exercises will cause back pain, neck pain and headaches! As soon as you use your head, you will have a forward head posture that contracts the sternocleidomastoid muscle (SCM) and the scalene triangle. Some other exercises will create massive strain in the lower back.
Here is what you can safely do, lying down on the floor or on your bed. It's not an impressive exercise, but it is super effective for your lower abs (transverse abdominis) and lateral abdominal muscles if you do this exercise precisely enough. Bear in mind that you should keep your back pressed against the floor, and that your heel should stay low above the ground...
