Replacement Soyuz Launch & Automated Docking
"Russian Sailor's Dance," performed by the Andreyev Balalaika Ensemble, is from the album "Around the Samovar."
Edited NASA TV footage of the launch on February 23, and docking on February 25, 2023 of the Russian Space Agency (RSA) Soyuz MS-23 (Союз MC-23) spacecraft. The Soyuz an automated docking to the Poisk (По́иск) module without a crew on board.
This Soyuz replaces Soyuz MS-22, which leaked coolant after an appraent orbital debris strike on December 14, 2022. Soyuz MS-23 will return to Earth Expedition 68 cosmonauts Sergey Prokopyev (Серге́й Проко́пьев) and Dmitry Petelin (Дмитрий Петелин), and NASA astronaut Frank Rubio.
The time-lapse of the docking is at 10 times actual speed.
