Bad Pull Ups vs. Good Pull Ups

Hey gang! This one is another quick tip that's ideal for #shorts. I decided to follow up the "bad pushups" short with a fan request for the same thing but for pull ups. These are the top 3 mistakes I think we all make with pull ups at some point in our journey. The last one about going into a dead hang is bound to draw up some controversy, so let me explain: when you go into a dead hang at the bottom of every rep, although it FEELS like you should do that because it's completely full ROM, you're actually disengaging the muscle tension in dead hang which isn't really ideal, especially if you have strength or hypertrophy as a goal. So my recommendation is to go down into an active hang at the bottom on each rep and try to keep moving the entire time. Pause as little as possible at the bottom. I hope this helps!
