Welcome to Minus The Gym! My name is Ryan and I’m a Certified Personal Trainer. I believe fitness and proper nutrition should be a part of everyone’s life because it feels AMAZING to know your health is on the right track.

I’m passionate about teaching others how to pursue fitness at home without equipment or with minimal investment in equipment. And I really enjoy focusing on fitness at home for beginners because I believe (1) a positive first experience is crucial; (2) a private place, such as home, is the most ideal setting for those starting out; and (3) minimal financial investment is more incentive for people to get started.

Along with fitness, I’m also a huge advocate of a whole-foods plant-based diet. In my 17 years experience with with exercise and nutrition, never have I seen something as powerful for improving health as switching to a plant-based diet. It worked wonders for me, same as everyone else who’s tried it. It’s the silver bullet!

With a combination of calisthenics and proper nutrition, I believe anyone can turn their health around, achieve the body they’ve always wanted and feel all around GREAT. I’m creating this channel to educate and inspire others, and I hope you join me on my never-ending journey to learn more about health and fitness!
