"Da Ya Think I'm Sexy?", by British singer Rod Stewart, was released as a single in 1978 reached #1 spot on charts in the U.S.(platinum), U.K., Australia, Canada, and did quite well overall Internationally. Known for his soulful Blues and folk ballads, this disco-flavored song was a departure that attracted many new fans, but alienated many of his old ones. The song supposedly incorporated substantial elements of the melody from the song "Taj Mahal" by Jorge Ben Jor. The matter was settled in court in Jor's favor. Royalties from "Da Ya Think I'm Sexy?" were donated to the United Nations Children's Fund.
