It is important once you have build a solid foundation, mastered the basics and own each position of all of the fundamental movements to start testing your body by incorporating different types of tools into your training.
Which is why we have teamed up with Deadpool (aka the resident Roger Gracie Academy Grappling Dummy) to bring you a lower body focused workout that will build strength + mobility at the same time.
⚡️3 Sets
▪️A1.) Mercenary Squats x 6-8
▪️A2.) Bodyweight Split Squats x 5-6 each side
▪️A3.) Mercenary Samurai Walks x 30 Secs
Circumstances and situations regularly encountered in Martial Arts, sports and real life does not allow you to perform with perfectly even weight distribution, alignment or form all of the time.
Which is why it is essential to test yourself with variability such as the offset weight of a grappling dummy to prepare you for when those situations occur.
Obviously, this is advanced and should be only tested by those who have a good understanding of their body and the movements they can perform safely and efficiently.
