Out of Our Heads (American version, London Records). The Rolling Stones.
A documentary video about the various London Records pressings of Out Of Our Heads, the fourth American studio LP record from The Rolling Stones, being Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Brian Jones, Bill Wyman and Charlie Watts, together their regular pianist Ian Stewart and a guest appearances by producer/musicians Jack Nitzsche (keyboards and percussion) and Phil Spector (guitar). It has been reported that the Beatles drummer Ringo Starr also made a contribution. Released in the United States on 30th July 1965, featuring a David Bailey sleeve image from the same photo session that produced the cover photo for the previous albums 12 x 5 and The Rolling Stones No.2, Out Of Our Heads features a classy selection of songs covering beat music, rhythm and blues, rock n roll and soul. It was produced by Andrew Loog Oldham and comprises six original song compositions (credited to Jagger-Richards or Nanker Phelge), together with six covers of songs by, or made famous by the likes of Solomon Burke, Sam Cooke, Bo Diddley, Marvin Gaye and Otis Redding. The track listing includes The Last Time, Mercy Mercy, That’s How Strong My Love Is, Cry To Me and I’m All Right. This American also version contains (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction, which would be the band's first number one US hit, and would go on to top the charts in 10 other countries, including the Stones' native UK, and being ranked as the second greatest song of all time by Rolling Stone magazine, behind Bob Dylan’s Like A Rolling Stone. Out of Our Heads became the group's first number one on the American Billboard 200 album chart. The price guide value, as usual, is provided at the end. I hope you enjoy the video!
