Small Faces. Debut LP on Decca Records (1966)
A documentary video about the 1966 classic debut LP from legendary London rock group The Small Faces, being Steve Marriott, Ronnie ‘Plonk’ Lane, Kenney Jones, Ian ‘Mac’ McLagen, and original keyboard player Jimmy Winston. Featuring a classy selection of tracks including the hit singles Whatcha Gonna Do About It and Sha La La La-Lee, plus their version of the Willie Dixon / Muddy Waters song You Need Love (Loving), which was famously adapted by Led Zeppelin [as Whole Lotta Love]. The album showcases the band at their R & B and mod peak, and was a big success upon its release, peaking at number 3 in the UK album charts. Label differences and variations described within, and as usual, the price guide value is provided at the end. I hope you enjoy the video!
