I Love It Loud - Kiss - Drum Cover by Keith B.

I’ve done several Kiss covers over the years, but recently realized I had never done one featuring Eric Carr on drums – that is, until now. The song was a single off the band’s last “in makeup” album, 1982’s Creatures of the Night, which was also their second album to feature Carr. It is my favorite of their 1980s singles, partly because of the super heavy drum beat, but also the cool “Hey hey hey hey yeah” passages. I think Carr does a great job on this one, throwing in a snare-based beat passage here and there to excellent effect, and a few really nice, heavy fills. Interest fact - Carr supposedly developed his stage name to mimic the syllable structure of Peter Criss’ name. His untimely death from cancer at age 41 is well documented. I decided not to play through the fade out/fade in/fade out - sounded silly when I tried... A fun one to play!
