This is a song I’ve been thinking of learning for a long time, but just never got around to it. It’s very simple, but the passage during the lead is kinda’ cool the way drummer Phil Rudd shapes his beat to fit the rhythm. Rudd is the poster child for the “less is more” style of drumming, and no one could ever accuse him of being flashy to the detriment of the song. He’s always been a key part of AC/DC’s sound, and learning some of his parts would be essential to any School of Rock lessons for young drummers, IMHO. Rudd’s drum parts can teach how to make a minimalist drum part work creatively, and how to play for the song. Plus, who needs fills??? (OK, School of Rock should teach fills...).
