D.O.A. - Van Halen - Drum Cover by Keith B.

Van Halen II is arguably my favorite Van Halen album, and “D.O.A.” is a true overlooked gem off that album. The album hit #6 on the Billboard 200 chart (and is currently 6X Platinum), and the singles "Dance the Night Away" and "Beautiful Girls" overshadowed heavier songs like “D.O.A” for the general public. As always, Alex Van Halen’s drum part is perfect for the song, and he uses a cool hi-hat pattern in the verse, alternate on different lines between playing eights and quarter notes. The speed up using double kick at the end pushes me a touch past my limits, but I gave it my best shot. Fun song!
