Dumbbell Snatch
Start by setting up your feet shoulder-distance with a dumbbell in front of you.
Hinging at the hip, bend over to pick up the dumbbell with one hand, keeping your back straight and core engaged.
With your hips slightly higher than your knees and back flat, this is your starting position.
Holding a dumbbell with one hand, look forward, using the free hand for balance.
Quickly thrust your hips forward and up while shrugging your shoulder and pulling the dumbbell up and above your head until hips are fully extended and you are standing up.
Then, lower the dumbbell to starting position by hinging at your hips.
Variations: You can also perform this by alternating arms, if desired.
