Tesla Gigafactory Texas 23 April 2021 Cyber Truck & Model Y Factory Construction Update (07:30AM)

Gigafactory Texas on 23 April 2021! This is where the Cyber Truck and Model Y will be built!
This morning was foggy, misty and rainy, but the workers continued their busy pace. I was able to get in and fly before the strong thunderstorms came through the area (forecast to continue for the rest of the day). Despite the muggy conditions, a lot of activity was going on including many deliveries of materials and equipment.
In this video, we also look at the southwest foundation corner area with a 9-month time progression to see progress in another area and to recall just how much has changed in a short period of time!

Here are some highlights from today:
- Many trucks were arriving on site with more steel parts, materials and large ducting parts.
- On the far south around the large water detention pond, they have installed corrugated storm water pipe around the perimeter and continue to prepare the land from this area under the bridge and over to the west side.
- Also, south of the stamping machine area we see materials stockpiled and continued work to extend the electrical conduit in a trench going to the northeast.
- Footings in the southwest corner area of the foundation have now reached the south perimeter grade beam and work on this extends around the angled corner of the foundation and joins with the previous work on the west side. Large footing excavations are being made in this general area as well. At the current pace, about one more week of work will have all footings completed.
- The west steel structure continues growing to the south and is getting a number of interior features installed, including stairwells, roof water management pipes, ceiling-mounted track systems and interior walls.
- The battery cell area structure in the northwest is now well past the halfway point and is close to meeting the angled portion of the perimeter grade beam. Materials are now stockpiled north of this beam as they are running out of free area within the foundation dur to the construction progress and crane placement.
- The paint shop norther wall work is at a stopping point as they have reinstalled the temporary loading platform and are continuing to lift equipment to the second floor via this platform. More roof vents are now installed, and a lot of activity was going on inside the now walled-off structure.
- Footings for the casting machine structure extension in the northeast corner are nearly completed, except for the area currently holding the two large Stabilis LNG tanks. These need to be moved soon in order to complete the GeoPier and footing construction.
- Work assembling the second Giga Press (6,100-ton version) continues and the basic shape is now emerging. The slab they poured in the east bay looks to be curing quickly and we will likely see some cross cuts on this slab in a few days.
- The large excavation just south of the paint shop appears to be at the final dimensions and gravel and GeoPier work at the floor level has been going on for a couple of days.
- More prefabricated wall panels are being installed on the west structure just south of the paint shop and a large quantity of wall studs and materials is being stockpiled near the east structure a bit further south.
- Work to clear, level and prepare the area on the east for what will be the battery cathode and Lithium Hydroxide production facility continues, and the two remains of the ponds were being worked on today ... the rains were not making this easy as these ponds were noticeably filling up a bit.

Many other events and activities were going on around the site, but the weather made flying and capturing video a challenge, with it deteriorating quickly towards the end of my flight.
