The Power of Quality Repetitions
It’s far to common for the general training population to focus on hitting more repetitions RATHER than paying attention to the QUALITY in which each is performed.
The number in their head is so important to them that it outweighs what’s happening during each rep.
This is also common when there’s peer pressure around you or you feel the need to “prove” yourself or that you can hit “x” amount of reps.
Lose the ego. I was once that person and it’s normal to go through that.
If your goal is to build a solid physique, strength, and improve performance in the long run there is no doubt in my mind that sacrificing extra half assed repetitions for less overall reps, performed with intention and quality in mind, will produce QUALITY RESULTS.
So if you find yourself chasing a number, film your reps, see how they look and be honest with yourself.
Take a step back, execute with intention and watch let the results speak for themselves down the line.
(Also when you see quality you tend to respect it more than the person who hit 20+ half assed reps, iykyk)
