Lantern Parade | Llanidloes Pumpkin Festival 2021

The first ever Llanidloes Pumpkin Festival took place on Saturday 23 – Sunday 24 October 2021 in the town. This video features the Lantern Parade, including the Samba Band and Nula Hula (Hula Hoop artist).

The Pumpkin Festival was organised by local Llanidloes charity The Wilderness Trust with this message:

“After a couple of difficult years, there is still much uncertainty. But we come together in hope, each bringing the simple gifts we have to share – food, music, art, time, imagination and encouragement – to give thanks for the great and kind community in which we live and recognition of what it means to be a part of it.

“Local businesses, groups, schools, institutions and volunteers all got involved by donating their time, expertise, prizes, hosting events, decorating the town and generally supporting the idea.

This is the first time this festival has been held, and we hope that with your help it will continue for many years to come!”
