Rascal Ultralite mobility scooter at Chatsworth House

Joyce was invited to feature in a joint Accessible Derbyshire and Chatsworth House photoshoot in September 2018. She explored the gardens in the morning on her own Rascal Ultralite mobility scooter, and after lunch posed for photographs along with other invited guests. What a treat! This was her first ever visit to Chatsworth House gardens.

The gardens are accessible to visitors who use manual wheelchairs and electric scooters. There are also buggy tours of the garden, which is quite large, on a first-come-first-served basis from outside the Orangery shop. Joyce and Graham used a brilliant accessibility map to find their way around.

Accessible Derbyshire was launched as a registered charity in February 2014 with the aim of improving the lives of disabled people, their families, friends and carers living in or visiting Derbyshire and the Peak District.
