HB - Spizaetus isidori - Black-and-chestnut Eagle - Singing
Esta magnífica especie de Águila se caracteriza por ser robusta y potente. Es endémica de los bosques montanos húmedos de los Andes desde Venezuela hasta el Norte de Argentina entre los 600 y 2700 msnm. Se alimenta de mamíferos arbóreos o de aves de gran tamaño como las del genero Penelope. En esta ocasión tuvimos la suerte de escuchar un individuo cantar hasta que finalmente lo avistamos a la lejania. Se quedo posada durante aproximadamente 50 min cantando en la percha como se observa en el video hasta que oscureció. Un momento majestuoso.
