Sinoceratops (name meaning "Chinese Horned Face") is a genus of ceratopsid dinosaur that originated during the Late Cretaceous period in what is now Asia. This relatively large ceratopsian was named after Zhucheng, China is known for the large horn on its snout. Sinoceratops was the first and largest ceratopsian found outside of North America, specifically in Asia. It had a short, pudgy body, a short, round, curved neck frill with a crown-like appearance formed by forward-curving hornlets, and one short, hooked rhino-like horn on its nose. The eye-catching frill above its neck helped it attract mates.
