Atrociraptor (name meaning "Savage Thief") is a genus of dromaeosaurid dinosaur that originated during the Late Cretaceous period in what is now North America. Roughly the same size as Velociraptor, Atrociraptor is depicted to have been arguably more dangerous by comparison. As with all members of the raptor family, Atrociraptor was a pack hunter, which enabled it to take down larger herbivores of its environment. In a group, Atrociraptor would pursue their prey relentlessly.
A highly intelligent theropod dinosaur with great dexterity, Atrociraptor was an extremely efficient, relentless, and versatile hunter. Atrociraptor possessed serrated teeth and large, powerful claws, both of which it used to catch and kill prey such as lizards and small mammals. Compared to Velociraptor, Atrociraptor has a bulkier body and boxier snout. It was an amazingly fast, quick, and agile dinosaur - able to move through and around just about any obstacle, jump great heights and distances, and adapted to changing areas.
