Wollemi Stream - Calm sounds of a creek flowing in a World Heritage Wilderness Area in Australia

The calm, relaxing sounds of a small flowing stream with background birdsong. In this recording, the microphones were placed quite close to the water to pick up the delicate trickles and gurgles. In the background a number of bird species sing including Striated Pardalote, White-eared Honeyeater, Willie Wagtail, White-browed Scrubwren & Superb Fairywren. Common Eastern Froglets (Crinia signifera) can also be heard calling from a pond further upstream to the right.

This audio was recorded in in an area of open eucalypt forest in Wollemi National Park, Australia, part of the UNESCO World Heritage–listed Greater Blue Mountains Area.
