Spotted Deer Sound & Calls - The alarm sounds of wild Chital (Spotted Deer)

The alarm calls of Spotted Deer (Chital) in a lowland forest in Nepal. Spotted Deer are quite vocal, their alarm sound is commonly heard in the forests and tiger reserves of the Indian Subcontinent. Spootted Deer make these high-pitched barks when they sense danger such as the sight or smell of a predator such as a tiger or leopard. Male Spotted Deer also make loud bellowing sounds and other growling noises to establish dominance during the mating season.

The Spotted Deer (Axis axis) is found in India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan & Sri Lanka. More examples of wildlife sounds and bird calls can be found on my website https://wildambience.com/wildlife-sounds/
