The Best Shoulder Pain Treatment: A PRI Perspective
The health of the shoulder joint is dependent upon the foundation upon which it sits: the thorax/ribcage.
In the typical right BC pattern as defined by Postural Restoration, the upper right quadrant of the ribcage is deflated and positioned posteriorly compared to the left side of the ribcage.
When the right ribcage is deflated, the relationship between the right scapula and the ribcage is altered, thus causing scapular instability.
Restoring shoulder health requires the ribcage to be positioned properly, and that can only happen via proper breathing, which means acquiring a left ZOA.
