PRI Neutrality Does Not Mean Stability

Getting someone "neutral" in Postural Restoration does not indicate that the individual is stable. Neutrality is just a starting point. It means the body can achieve a state of rest. It is no longer is a state of rightward orientation.

The muscles we all need to feel: the left hamstring, left adductor, left glute medius, right glute etc... all these muscles will be felt when we can inhibit overactivity of the autonomic nervous system.

It's rarely an issue of muscle weakness or having to work harder. It's an issue of the inability to inhibit, or turn off, overactivity of extensor muscle: the hip flexors, the back extensors, and the neck flexors.

Additionally, latissimus dorsi and pec majors and minors and upper trapezius muscles also play a big role in too much extension activity.

This extension musculature limits our body's ability to internally and externally rotate our arms and legs, and expand our ribcage with air. Thus we become compensatory. It is the compensations that break us down over time and lead to pain.
