Relieving My Right Hamstring Through Left Side Compression

I've never liked running. However, my cardiovascular fitness severely deteriorated during Covid quarantine because my one source of cardio, my salsa teaching and dancing, completely went away.

My lack of cardio, plus altered breathing patterns, caused some health issues, including heart palpitations, which turned into mild panic attacks.

In order to get healthy again, I've taken to walking the hill outside my house to get my heart rate up. Coupled with breath holds and shortening my inhalations, I worked to increase my carbon dioxide levels. All of this was learned through the book The Oxygen Advantage.

All that was good, but any time I've tried jogging up the hill, my right hamstring would feel like it would pull. This annoys me greatly.

It wasn't until yesterday, when I tried purposely compressing my left side, that I was able to not feel my right hamstring while jogging.
