Jody Watley - Friends [with Eric B & Rakim] (1989)

Jody Watley had a fantastic run of great songs with Shalamar before going solo... When she did go solo, she kept living up to that reputation with hit after hit of funky, sing-along jams. Out of all her solo efforts, this one ranks among my favorites - the song itself is awesome, but the presence of Eric B and Rakim really pushes it up to the next level!
