So far this week, we've had two songs written by Holly Knight, and performed by her band, but that became big hits for other artists. Let's wrap the week up with a song written by Holly Knight, and performed by her band, and it actually became a top-40 hit!

Device was a trio of Holly Knight along with singer Paul Engemann and guitarist Gene Black. They only put out one album, and the critical and commercial highlight was this song, reaching #35 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1986. As you've likely already figured out, Holly had much more success as a songwriter than as a performer, but I love these less-known recordings that actually have her doing her own songs!
