Foxy - Hot Number [Long Version] (1979)

A couple weeks ago, I got a message from a Music Lover (and fan of the channel) named Brent, asking if I had a version of Foxy's "Hot Number" that was longer than the single version. I actually didn't - I didn't have ANY Foxy on vinyl, which was something I'd actually been wanting to fix for a while now, so this was a perfect excuse to go shopping!

I found a fantastic copy at a good price, and the seller even had another Foxy 12" that I bought too. Foxy is no longer a glaring hole in my record collection!

Incidentally, and totally unrelated to this request, I discovered around the same time, that Foxy's main songwriter, Ish Ledesma, was also the singer and songwriter in the '80s band Oxo ("Whirly Girl" is posted here on the channel) and as if that wasn't enough, he also wrote and produced "Fascinated" for Company B, which featured his wife and her sister. It turns out if you just go to Foxy's Wikipedia page, you can see all that in one place... but I went about it backwards, seeing his credit on the Company B record, and remembering that he was in Oxo, and THEN discovering that he was also in Foxy. Gotta love the scenic route, right?
