By using a single needle a thread is laced through two pre-sewn lock- running stitches forming a 'diamond shape pattern'...by the way, because of the little rhombs resemblance I gave it the diamond name to this beautiful European stitch to differentiate it from the other variation I name it 'hexagonal shape',
As most of the upholsterers know the parts of an old steering-wheel cover are useful to get templates for a new cover.
In this case as in former video the templates were gotten and made directly from the steering -wheel rims following certain procedures that allow us to also directly work on the table, tracing, adding allowances, little holes, etc.
As you can see, this wheel has been customized with some inserts of real 'stingray leather' (in the central horn part simulating the fish and two small parts on both sides of the rim)
How to leather-cover steering wheels should be included in the upholstery courses.
Thanks for watching!
