60163 Tornado, The Torbay Express, 12July09

A bright and breezy Torbay welcomed 60163 on its second Torbay Express turn. Dry conditions allow an impressive and controlled climb to Churston without the ignominy of an imposed class 25 on the back! and the turn, (the wrong way for photographers this time) shows what a hansom machine Tornado is. With weather deteriorating rapidly the newest locomotive on Network Rail makes a fine sight as it hurries down the Teign to the sea.
