Bad back and weak core? Stop doing crunches and do this! | Feldenkrais Style

Core strength is essential for many functional activities. You can find many core exercises on the internet, but most of them are not really functional and specific in terms of stabilizing back and protecting back from injuries and improving functions.

This core exercise video focuses on how to use hip extensors (glutes) for turning instead of back rotators. This is related to hip flexor (psoas) stretching and flexibility. Proper use of hip extensors in daily functions = proper inhibition and lengthening of hip flexors in daily functions. Reduction in habitual hip flexor tension through proper use of hip extensors leads to reduced lower back stress and improved hip flexor flexibility! Everything is connected! While you're strengthening your glutes and core in a functional way, you're also improving hip flexor flexibility and back pain. Understanding movement and functions can make your exercises much much more effective! Movement retraining is much more than strengthening and stretching!
