Is it possible to build muscle with resistance bands? Sure. Are these rubber bands somewhat effective? Well, it depends on how you use them. These are a valid accommodating resistance tools to strengthen your body.

When it comes to resistance bands, the key concept to understand is tension. More specifically, the elastic tension that is created as we stretch them. We could use this tension to manipulate the strength curve of an exercise. Sometimes we could introduce bands to provide assistance in certain movements, but we could also use them to create additional resistance. Thus making the exercise harder. Or different as you are about to see.
