MAN Vs RESISTANCE BANDS. Band Workout Routine.

Is it possible to build muscle with resistance bands? Sure. Are these rubber bands somewhat effective? Well, it depends on how you use them. These are a valid accommodating resistance tools to strengthen your body.

The most important thing to keep in mind when training with resistance bands, is that the amount of tension/assistance you get could vary greatly depending on the thickness of the elastic band you are working with. This is going to be key, as band training could make specific ranges of an exercise extremely hard.

For example, the easiest part of a regular push up is the top plank position because there's no flexion at the elbow and thus you stack all the joints of your arms . However, if you were to perform the same push up with a resistance band, you'll have to exert a much greater force in the same position due to the tension created by the stretch of the loop band.

Today’s video is an example of a training session that is based entirely on elastic bands. Rubber bands made a comeback a few years ago in the fitness industry and have stayed in the gym ever since. Although I don't personally design entire workouts only with the purpose of using resistance bands in each exercise, I understand and implement rubber bands in some instances to introduce new stimulus.

If someone tells you that you can't build muscle with elastic bands, there are full of it. Today's workout will show that resistance bands could be an effective tool to build muscle, get stronger and more explosive.

This video is part of my series entitled “Man vs Thing”, where I show you how to train with a single object, thing or structure. Here I am demonstrating some effective exercises to reap the benefits of accommodating resistance training. Resistance bands force you to generate extra tension in parts of a lift that are usually the easiest. Not to mention that resistance bands could be a great way to train your core in all directions.
