Woodturning: Turning A Winged Bowl from Michigan Sassafras

I wanted to try something a little different and settled on a winged bowl. I had a square blank of kiln dried Michigan sassafras that I thought would work nicely.

Although the wings ended up squared off, I’m happy with how it turned out and will definitely do another one of these in the future and try to keep the full length of the wings.
