Turning A Lidded Pot: The Flying Saucer Petri Pot 🛸 Walnut with a Resin Petri Inlay
Turning A Lidded Pot: The Flying Saucer Petri Pot Wood Turning Walnut with a Resin Petri Inlay
This project started with me trying to figure out what I could do to reuse some resin petris my friend Myriam from Myriam's Nature sent me. I made a little lava lamp out of some of them
Woodturning a Night Lamp from Recycled Resin Petri Fails https://youtu.be/YhWUMzzlXTQ
One of the things I thought would be cool is to use them as an inlay. I chose one of the smaller petris for this pot - it is square and deep. I attached it to the lathe with double-sided tape and turned it into a cylinder that will be inlayed in a recess in the lid and turned to the final shape from there. I have some thick kiln dried walnut left and used that for the pot. Or box. Or vessel. Or whatever you want to call this little thing!
I'll be drawing the winner for the 5k subscriber giveaway in the next day or so and will post in the community tab, and also in the next video if I've not heard from the winner.
