30 DAYS SQUAT CHALLENGE : Day 22nd - Dumbbell Sumo Squats
Squats are basically leg exercises, but they help to burn fat around your glutes, thighs and help to strengthen your core. It is a very good way to burn fat fast and effectively. They help to build muscle in your entire body. Squats makes your muscle mass to increase and burn more calories. They help you gain more strength in your legs and tone your back, abs and legs. A variation can help get the results faster.As you grow older, it is important to adopt a workout routine that works best for you. Age makes us lose muscle mass, hence it is imperative to incorporate exercises that help us build more muscles.
The dumbbell sumo squat is an excellent exercise for toning the quads and glutes. It helps to sculpt your legs. It is a lower body exercise, which aims at strengthening .It is a very intense and effective workout not only for the legs, but also the glutes and thighs and hamstrings. It will make your inner thigh burn the next day. This from of squat is very effective to tone the thighs and hips.
Steps to do the Dumbbell sumo squats:-
1. Stand straight with your feet slightly wider than hip-width.
2. Your toes should be turned out slightly.
3. Take a dumbbell, hold it in front of your chest. Now squat down as low as you can.
4. Ensure that you keep your heels on the ground. Your back should be straight.
5. Come back to the starting position. Repeat this 15 times.
There are a few point you have to keep in mind to get the maximum benefit from this form of exercise and also to avoid any injury.
6. Warm up:
Before you do any form of exercise, it is important to warm up and stretch as this will help to prevent any strain or injury to your body.
7. Keep your back straight.
8. Pretend that you are going to sit on an imaginary chair. Your back should be straight as you go down. Your thighs should be parallel to the ground as you go down.
9. Gaze in front:
Your gaze should be fixed in front as you go down and come up.
10. Keep your muscles tight
