Shebang 1967- Dancing in the Street, Martha & the Vandellas

Airdate: April 11, 1967

Shebang was a daily dance show that ran from 1965-1968 on KTLA, channel 5, in Hollywood and a few other markets in syndication.

As American Bandstand and Shebang were both Dick Clark productions and taped only 2 miles from each other (Prospect Studios to KTLA), there were often several kids that danced on both shows. The "Bandstanders" I spotted today were:
Forrest Hutchins, Famous Hooks and Jenny Nichols on the highest riser (0:36), June Strode (1:03), Jim Miranda (1:09), Sharon Bell (1:19), Rick Kline (1:20), Sam Tagliavore (2:12 - Sam did the RAR with Melody McMurray for "Children and Flowers" in '66. He stopped by and said "hi" last month here on YT), Olivia "Liver" Favela (2:3), her sister Martha and Bud Schwimmer (3:02)

“Dancing in the Street” was Martha’s biggest hit, peaking at #2 back in October 1964.
