American Bandstand 1966 – Hooray For Hazel, Tommy Roe

“Hooray For Hazel” is at #23 today and is working its way up to #6 by the first week of November.

Tommie Roe made 10 appearances on American Bandstand between 1962 and 1971. His most recent appearance was last month on Sept. 10 when he sang “Sweet Pea”, which peaked at #8 back in July, and his new song “Hooray For Hazel” which will enter the charts at #75 a week later.

The familiar ’67 Regulars are starting form here is late ’66. The dancers I spotted today are Theodosia Dayton (on the riser), Mark Pachter (1:31) Marcel Poitier (1:46), Tyra Golter (1:51), Laura Bravo (1:54), Herb Neal (2:50), and Becky Vanvorhees on the Hotline at the end.
