American Bandstand 1966 – Spotlight Dance- You Wouldn’t Listen, The Ides of March

Airdate: June 18, 1966

“Great God In Heaven“ it’s the Ides Of March!

“You Wouldn’t Listen” will enter the charts at #86 in 2 weeks but will only get up to #42 at the end of July. As he mentions, Ron Riley of WLS in Chicago chose this song because it is a hit in the Chicago area, reaching #7 on the WLS survey. The Ides of March won’t have much more success until their huge 1970, #2 hit “Vehicle”.

Our Spotlight Dancers today are: Frank Vanderpuil & Kris Merches (?), Fred Wilson & Debbie Mosner, and Steve Schreiner & Judy Baker.
