“Dream A Little Dream Of Me” peaked at #12 in August of ’68 and was the last top 20 hit for The Mamas and The Papas. With the success of the song, Cass would soon leave the group for a successful solo career.

Mama Cass died on July 29, 1974 of heart failure. There were no drugs in her system and she did not choke on a sandwich, a rumor that was repeated frequently after her death.
